If you are using a Pentium computer and are considering our PRO-SERIES EPROM EMULATOR or EEPROM PROGRAMMER please read the following.

To use a Pentium computer you with the PRO-SERIES EPROM EMULATOR or EEPROM PROGRAMMER you may need to change your I/O configuration BIOS setup. What you want to do is select the Parallel Port Mode option which allows your parallel port to perform as an AT or XT parallel port. If this does not work, you will need an old XT/AT type Parallel port card. These products need real time access to the Pentium CPU and must use an XT/AT type I/O card. We have also found if you have a MICROCHIP PICSTART programmer you will need our I/O card for your Pentium as well. There are probably many products on the market which may require an AT I/O card.

This free offer starts Dec. 5,1998 and must be asked for when placing your order.

Our I/O card plugs into an available ISA slot on the motherboard. Most Pentium motherboards have 3 or 4 ISA slots. Make sure you have an available slot before ordering.

Our I/O card has the following options.

  • Parallel printer port. LPT1 or LPT2 selectable. Enable or disable. Able to assign IRQ 5 or 7.
  • 2 Serial ports. COMA or COMB (com 1 or com 2). Enable or disable both or either port. IRQ assignments are from 3 thru 12 on either or both ports. This is an important option for this type of card. Most I/O cards only support IRQ 3 and 4. This card allows you to avoid IRQ conflicts.

  • Complete with cables for Printer, 2 serial ports (DB9 & DB25), game port.
